Just curious? He knows she can sneak up from behind and get the popular vote. But he also knows to win this he only needs the delegates which he will have next week.

So it is a waist of his $$$$ to spend any more cash in this primary process. He is now back to 50 state strategy against McCain.

Does that make Hillary and supporters feel alone in a race that is already all but over? Maybe it is like playing pool. The eight ball is already knocked in by your opponent but it is fun to go ahead and shoot in the rest of the balls. :shrug:

I think this has been a tactical error on his part and I hope that he finds a way to let them know that they are important and he values them.

5. I now understand that they are too dumb or too focused on

chasing their impossible dream (and must be following her lead on this, no longer critically analyzing the facts themselves) to understand that what you say is exactly how it is being played. I think it is wise of Obama, the SDs and others to let it unfold towards Hill' wind down and out this way, while moving toward the real goal of winning the GE. Hill needs to play it this way as well, because she needs as many donations as possible and as much time as is left on the clock to unwind as many of her mistakes as she possibly can (otherwise, she won't be in politics in the future much).

As for Obama, I'd rather have someone elected to represent us who has his eye on the ball yet is thinking many plays ahead, than someone so self involved that she doesn't care about what is about to happen to her loyal supporters. What a cad she is, but her supporters are adults, and capable of understanding what is actually going on to them, if they so choose.

Obama clearly understands how the last states will vote; he has spent the required time to achieve that; and nothing Hillary does or spends will change the results meaningfully, either in those states/territory or in the nomination. And has wisely choosen to spend his supporters hard earned donations on the things that will matter in the GE against McCain.
