8. My first thought. Kneejerk, but there it was.
:scared:

Sounds like Obama's not too interested in their little Iraq dog-n-pony show. McCain and Graham can fax back their Rug Market Reports.

3. "Going to Iraq" is exploitation of our troops and the Iraqi people for a photo op.

Obama would be wise to ignore this--especially if he wants to avoid pulling a Dukakis.

Or a Bush, for that matter.

But I like YOUR photo, though.

9. I agree
Plus it makes it harder and more dangerous for the military over there.

4. He should just say, "I will go to Iraq to lead our troops home" and leave it at that.
The GOP is obviously hoping for some kind of Dukakis photo-op or a "stray" blackwater bullet.

6. Watch him show up and do the rock star thing.
Give him some cameras and a crowd, and the GOP will eat that "countdown clock."

11. He can make a trip to spend New Year's with the troops
right before he is inaugurated. He can bring some of the newly elected Democrats in the House and Senate with him! While he is there he can tell the troops that he is going to immediately begin the withdrawal because they have won the war and it is over. Sweet.
