The Memo: A Preliminary Prediction for the Rules Committee
This is very interesting, http://ruralvotes.com/thefield/?p=1275, please read and comment. It looks good for Senator Obama.

Now if Pelosi, et al., would have a bowel movement and get off the pot sooner than later. End this NLT than Friday of next week.

I'm still envisioning a massive flood of SD's beginning Tuesday and extending into Wednesday...obviously for Obama.

Getting late...stupid and groggy.

Now I lay me down to sleep...and pray the Lord that Hillary not manifest herself in my nightmares...

p.s. In addition to CSPAN I do believe that both CNN and MSNBC will be covering the Rules and Bylaws Committee meeting on Saturday. Should prove to be interesting. I shall opt for MSNBC if... Might have to record on TiVo, a little early on the better coast, the west coast.

1. R&BC meeting will embarrass the state legislators
especially Geller from Florida. I think this is the intent of the DNC. They will want to embarrass them so that states will think twice before moving their primary date up in 2012.

The Michigan ruling might turn out to be a big win for Obama. Looks like MI will be cut in half and the DNC might accept 69-59 proposal, with each delegate getting a half vote. That would end up being only a net +5 for Hillary. Not exactly the outcome that she's looking for.

I can't wait until Dean is questioning Geller. Oh my, the drama that will unfold.

2. Yep,
this should be fun TV watching. With three TV cameras covering the "show" they'll have to put on their best faces -- real or false.

An O.J. Simpson déjà vu...more or less. Will the glove fit Geller.

6. Those are all great posters :-)
My personal favorites are FrenchieCat for her insightful posts supporting Obama, grantcart for his steady dose of logic supporting Obama, and NancyGreggs for her love of snarkiness in defense of Obama. Feel free to check out my journal as well. I think I have a few insightful posts somewhere in there. :patriot:

13. Then he'll give them his talking points
I find that kind of hard to believe. It might be slightly symbolic to deflect away criticism from him over this issue and to try to refocus it on the legislators who voted for the primary date move.

4. The new magic number ill be 2131
Obama will hit it on Tuesday without additional super delegate interventions because the Florida Edwards delegates will endorse him.

Sadly, the pledged delegates will get a half vote each and the super delegates will get a full vote each.

12. I particularly want to see how Ickes completely backtracks on his
original views on FL and MI. He wanted them stripped of their delegates and now I'm sure he's going to argue that they should all be seated as is, with Obama getting nothing in MI. If he could think of a convoluted argument, he'd try to have Obama not get any delegates from FL, as well.

I certainly hope someone there points out the total turn around and the illogic of their "opinions".

16. I think the "festivities" begin about 7 a.m.
Too early for we West Coasters...need to record.

"The panel convenes for a showdown meeting Saturday with a daunting agenda: to resolve the dispute between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama over seating convention delegates from Florida and Michigan, without the session erupting into a scene from the Wild West."

Everything one needs to know can be found here:

http://search.msn.com/news/results.aspx?q=Democratic+Rules+and+Bylaws+meeting&FORM=EWRE

Will this evolve into a scene from the Wild, Wild West?
