Rupert Murdoch calls Obama a “Rock Star”, says he’ll beat McCain

Rupert Murdoch Says Obama Will Win

Carlsbad, CA -- Tonight at the "All Things Digital" conference sponsored by the Wall Street Journal. Rupert Murdoch -- Chairman of News Corp, new WSJ owner, and longtime torchbearer for conservative politics -- said this about Barack Obama: "He is a rock star. I love what he is saying about education. I think he will win and I am anxious to meet him."

About the presumptive Republican nominee, Murdoch said, "McCain is a friend of mine. But I think he's got a lot of problems. He has been in Congress a long time, and you have to make a lot of compromises. So what's he really stand for?... I think he has a lot of problems."

5. Not odd, just an admission of reality
That's why he was hosting Hillary fundraisers earlier in the year, trying desperately to derail Obama. Now that the writing's on the wall and Hillary is going down, I think ol' Rupert is simply acknowledging reality, and perhaps trying to get on the good side of Obama.

6. 3. I might be wrong, but does he not own Faux news???
That's just his day job cash cow - pandering to the idiots - who are Gullable enough - to believe in horseshit - and too lazy
to verify the truth by researching the information for themselves.

8. I think he is as far right as they get
But most Social and even Fiscal Conservatives don't think McCain is their guy or that he will stand up for them. I think many of them see McCain as the Walter Mondale this year for their nomination. Someone some of them will vote for but apathetically at best and someone they expect to be crushed in the wake of a well spoken "change" candidate.

He's their sacrificial lamb.

Their best hope is that all the shit Bush has pulled to wreck our economy in combination with holding on to just enough Senate seats to prevent changes from ever getting through Congress will pin the failure to fix everything on Obama and open a door to 2012.

Americans should be dumb enough by then to forget what Bush has wrought.
