CNBC: Rupert Murdoch might endorse Obama
Edited on Thu May-29-08 12:53 PM by gravity
They said that he was interested in Obama's views and is disatisfied with the republican leadership.

I don't know how to interpet this, it just sounds too bizzare.

Update from The Huffington Post:

Rupert Murdoch Says Obama Will Win

Carlsbad, CA -- Tonight at the "All Things Digital" conference sponsored by the Wall Street Journal, Rupert Murdoch -- Chairman of News Corp, new WSJ owner, and longtime torchbearer for conservative politics -- said this about Barack Obama: "He is a rock star. It's fantastic" "I love what he is saying about education." "I don't think he will win Florida.....but he will win in Ohio and the election". "I am anxious to meet him." "I want to see if he will walk the walk."

About the presumptive Republican nominee, Murdoch said, "McCain is a friend of mine. He's a patriot. But he's unpredicatble. Doesn't seem to know much about the economy. He has been in Congress a long time, and you have to make a lot of compromises. So what's he really stand for?... I think he has a lot of problems."

2. I believe they call this "Sucking up to the winning side."
Remember how he was fundraising and cheerleading for Hillary when she was "inevitable"? He knows that no matter what Fox spews, McCain's odds aren't good, and he's hoping to suck up enough to avoid an antitrust investigation come next January.

14. Exactly. Backing the losing side gives him nothing.
But I hope that this doesn't give him anything.

*shudder*

4. The real question is what did John McCain do. Murdoch is no friend or ally to Obama.
I want to know what is going on behind the scenes with McCain. I am hearing rumbling everywhere that he is pissing everyone off from movement conservatives to evangelicals.

He will back whomever and whatever will make him look like winner, and make him lots of money.

His strong point may be reading trends and being able to get behind them in time to look like he was part of their creation...

It might be time to make more money pandering to Dems than Repubs.

KNOWING Obama is going to be the next President and endorsing his candidacy are two different things.

17. Rupert is a JUDAS
statement from the Hillary Clinton Campaign...Carville is having fits. Mark Penn is despondent, just sitting in a recliner watching Clinton's Campaign speeches...stuffing his face with Big Macs, muttering between bites.."Why didn't this sell?"
