I'm curious....and I have a reason for asking...and yea, I am sandbagging you.

On Edit...The answer:

I am describing Bill Clinton in May of 1992.

1. Depends on how he's polling elsewhere
If he's at 70+% all over the south and midwest, the
answer would be "no."

It's a whole new ball game this year (imho).

6. Let's say he was 40 percent nationally and in the teens in the Midwest
And getting 17 percent in Colorado.

22. And in other areas? My point is, you can't just take one state
and write him off because of it.

Also, if he's won fair and square, his numbers should be
decent because otherwise he wouldn't have won the MOST
DELEGATES ...

The OP is not taking a shot at Obama.

Doesn't matter if he's polling at 0%, he has already won the nomination.
So the answer is no.

7. I agree with the very first poster, it depends on where he's polling in other states.
If Obama were losing California badly and barely polling ahead in some strong Democratic states back east, then yes, I would suggest we drop him.

How does 17 percent in Colorado sound?
And in the 20s in most states.

And I would re-think our choice.

9. If Santa were coming tomorrow instead of Dec. 24-25, would you declare war on Christmas?
Just asking. And no, I have no reason to do so, except I can't think of a response as good as Lewis Black might make to your post, like ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR F****** MIND???? (I can picture him now. . . )

Depends on the candidate.
History of lying?

Stabbing dems in the back?

Things like that might affect my answer.

14. Has that ever happened?
Has a candidate who won the most delegates ever been replaced because he wasn't polling well 6 months out? Are we now picking our candidate based on GE polls?

I'd ask why you're applying special rules to one candidate that none of the other candidates have ever had to satisfy. I'd ask why you're holding him to a higher standard than everybody else.

I know the answer but I'd still ask the question.

20. Clinton was trailing both Perot and Bush in May.
It wasn't until mid-summer that he began pulling away.

Not many people thought he could pull it off and he started well behind where Obama is now.

23. Oddly enough, in May of '92 I was a Perot Supporter
because I was terrified George H.W. Bush would beat Clinton so I was going to vote for the person who stood the best chance fo beating Bush.

But not a cluster bomb. That would be bad.

But on the plus side, you'd have the full support of the Bush Administraiton.\

...so there's that.

The sooner we stop discussing polls, which will never happen, the better.

Quality over quantity...
