Clinton backers to protest outside rules meeting
Supporters to demand DNC counts Florida and Michigan delegates

WASHINGTON - The Democratic presidential race is heading into a fractious end game as supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton mobilize for a protest Saturday to demand that the party count two outlawed primaries that favored her.

Protesters planned to rally outside the Washington hotel where the party's rules committee will tackle the vexing question of how to punish Michigan and Florida without completely disenfranchising Democratic primary voters from those states.

At least several busloads of Clinton supporters were anticipated from Florida and perhaps scores of people from Michigan as well as demonstrators from various parts of the country. Barack Obama's campaign discouraged a counterprotest, although his supporters vied with Clinton backers for the limited public seats inside the meeting.

snip

Mary Boergers, a former Maryland state senator and volunteer county coordinator for Clinton in suburban Washington, sent an e-mail to her contacts, encouraging them to get seats inside so Obama's supporters don't fill them all. She also asked them to come to the rally "wearing red, white and blue but no Hillary material."

4. More than you know . . .
McCain, Huckabee Supporters to Protest on Behalf of Hillary at DNC Meeting.

A letter from one Hillary's grassroots organizers.

We have Fantastic News!

As you know, our efforts to present a unified front this weekend on Sat, May 31 at the DNC meeting has proven to be quite successful…in fact, we have now an approximate 10,000 marchers. The marchers will be coming from across the country and they aren't just Clinton supporters. For a unified showing will be Obama, McCain, Clinton and even a few Huckabee supporters who will rally together in Washington DC.

How did a grass roots group of politically inexperienced organizers get an overwhelming response of thousands of supporters…supporters that cross partisan lines for the unified message: All Voices Heard, All Votes Matter?

http://www.americablog.com/2008/05/hillary-reportedly-using-mccain-and.html

I'm really trying not to be angry at Hillary any more, but it's really hard when you see this kind of shit.

5. Count every vote was not their plea.
http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P08/FL-D.phtml

Hillary beat Obama by 300,000 votes why shouldn't they protest their vote being negated?

It's not the same thing as this photo. They are Republicans. Those who voted in the Florida primary once again have their vote stolen. How many elections is this to go on?

18. But he only counted the votes he wanted to be in his favor.
Edited on Thu May-29-08 10:20 PM by mac2
The Republicans in 2000 wanted to stop the vote/recount at the exact moment when it favored Bush. To this day all the Florida votes were not counted let alone the recounted ones.

The MI and FL Democratic voters want ALL their votes countd not stolen like in 2000.

2. WHY SO MANY Clinton supporters on the RBC and so FEW Obama supporters?
"Among the scheduled speakers at the rally are Clinton fundraiser Elizabeth Bagley; two members of Congress who back the New York senator, Reps. Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Ohio and Corrine Brown of Florida; and Kim Gandy, president of the National Organization for Women. Her group's political action committee has endorsed Clinton."

WHO THE HELL is there to speak on behalf of Obama? Is this The Clinton's Committee? If so, why bother. Just hand the frickin thing to Hillary.

Out of 30 of them, I know 13 are pro-Clinton. What about the rest?

6. Yeah, I heard 13 are pro-Clinton,
(including some who are involved with or very close to her campaign), and 7 or 8 for Obama. I don't know about the rest.

3. A DC for Obama organizer thinks we got at least 70% of the tickets
I guess the Clinton supporters were more interested in being outside protesting...we had an organized effort to get tickets. Should be interesting.

13. Indeed. Her people helped draft the rules of the primaries
which resulted in representational delegate proportions. She was fine with it when she thought she was the inevitable nominee. If she was winning she'd be singing a totally different tune.

Hillary reportedly using McCain and Huckabee supporters to beef up numbers at DNC protest this weekend

One of the "grassroots organizers" of Hillary's fake protest this weekend at the DNC rules committee meeting (the one deciding what to do with FL and MI), just sent this email out to a lot of the wrong people in DC:

blasted all over the media.

Oh please, oh please, ladies, bring those pots and pans! Hundreds of you! I want to see you shouting and banging and waving signs all over 24 hour cable TV where millions and millions of ordinary Americans are going to take a look and go, "WTF???".

Please. Make my day.

Peace,
sw
