MUST READ ARTICLE "Kerry consistent on Iraq ... mostly"

Sorry if this has already been posted, I didn't go back pages looking for it. This story is up on Yahoo right now, overall a good story. It's very unusual to see a press report directly tackle this. Worth giving a positive Yahoo rating I would say:

WASHINGTON (AFP) - While Republicans are trying to keep Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites) on the ropes for alleged flip-flops on Iraq (news - web sites), his position has in fact been largely consistent with a couple of exceptions...

The issue flared this week when Kerry said he would have voted the same way even without any sign of Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s suspected weapons of mass destruction. "He now agrees it was the right decision to go into Iraq," Bush crowed.


But a study of Kerry's speeches before and after the March 2003 invasion shows a strong degree of consistency, matching his desire to confront Saddam Hussein with caveats against going into battle impulsively and alone...

3. I agree, this is an excellent article, and...

what I've been saying all along. Kerry has been very consistent on this issue and personally, I have would have handled it the same way. The problem has more to do with irresponsible media and their innate ability to distort facts and report spin.
