In response to "Obama wasn't in the Senate when IWR was debated"
Edited on Thu May-29-08 10:34 PM by Carl Yasutomo
Well, Hillary says she's for civil rights, but how do you really KNOW that? How do you know she would have voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964? Was she in the Senate in 1964? No! So we certainly can't give any credence to her claim.

For that matter, what makes you so sure she doesn't support slavery? Was she in the government when slavery was abolished in the 19th century? Huh? HUH? Of course not! See -- you don't really KNOW that she opposes slavery.

And how about her position on independence from Britain? Was she at signing of the Declaration of Independence? Huh? HUH? Well, WAS SHE? NO!!! So only a complete IDIOT would take her at her word that she thinks we should be an independent country.

Sure, it's EASY for someone in HER position to claim that she's for civil rights and against slavery and for independence from Britain. But why should we believe anything she says? After all, SHE WASN'T THERE. Therefore she's obviously a lying, cynical opportunist!

1. One thing is very clear: there were only 100 Senators who could vote on the IWR,
the millions of the rest of us were just spectators with our own opinions, whatever they may be.

2. The one thing we DO know is how she voted on the IWR, and denied her vote was a mistake
What the IWR did is effectively overturn the War Powers Act, and that effectively took Congressional oversight away from Congress over the Iraq War

3. Lame. She threw her bookbag when she heard MLK was assassinated
Obviously she was for civil rights.

She even threw her geography book when Malcom X was killed.
