Please Stop Blaming Hillary Clinton for the Pfleger Video and MSM Reaction
The first mentions of Pfleger in a Google blog search come up last fall on pages and sites for Gun nuts.

http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?q=Pfleger&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&um=1&scoring=d&sa=N&start=550

The next round comes up in March, on the hardcore Catholic + LGF-style anti-terrist blogs:

http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?q=Pfleger&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&um=1&scoring=d&sa=N&start=530

To my knowledge, it's not Hillary Clinton's campaign that's pushing this one, it's the NRA and fascist wingnuts.

1. Anyone who doesn't see this
is supposed to distract everyone from Scotty's book deserves the title "hillary hater". It's very obvious where this is coming from.

2. But her campaign has been calling LOUDLY for Obama to renounce
Phleger's remarks. Yes, what he said was offensive,
but if Wolfson and co. DIDN'T want to make this an
issue, they should have just said they were disappointed
in what he said and moved on, not haranguing Obama to
"reject and denounce" or "renounce" or whatever they
want him to do concerning Phleger's sermon.

In short, they may not have started the fire, but now
they're stoking it.

7. At this point, I'd have the GOOD SENSE to know it's not going to help me
and I would try and just MOVE ON with grace.

15. Yes I would but
I like to think that I would have the decency to give it up after Sen Obama's comments about it and Rev P's apology.

16. Oh bullshit. He's winning, and he's not jumping on every stupidass thing to whack her with.
He's winning because he addresses the BS minimally, and then addresses something of substance. Voters seem to be kinda diggin on that. (Shocking, I know.)

Y'know... like Hillary could... if she wanted to, say somethin like you just did, "This is yet another non-issue that the media is playing up to get attention, when what we should really be focusing on is McClellan's new book which alleges that... "

Oh, but she can't, can she? That whole IWR speech, "Iraq was a threat" thing... kind of a problem for her.

9. Do you have a link for their call that Obama "reject and denounce" Pflegler?
This is the only statement I found:

Wolfson says: "Divisive and hateful language like that is totally counterproductive in our efforts to bring our party together and have no place at the pulpit or in our politics. We are disappointed that Senator Obama didn't specifically reject Father's Pflegler's despicable comments about Senator Clinton, and assume he will do so."

11. :sarcasm: alert -- harkening back to the Farrakhan issue in a past debate
OK, so he didn't ask Obama to "denounce" Phleger
but he said he EXPECTS him to "reject" the comments.
EXPECTS him ... !!! Like Wolfson and HRC can
dictate the terms to Obama, like a parent or a
sovereign ...

Is this over yet?????

It may not be the Clinton campaign, but it's somebody. It's not accidental. I wonder how much Phleger got paid.

31. So does this mean you now think it was OK for Obama to do that?
Better send a message to the Clinton campaign then. Its interesting that Hillary cries foul whenever Obama takes her course in responding to a poorly worded comment, but then goes insanely overboard when the reverse occurs.

Take Hillary's response to the Bitter comment, for instance. She started swilling liquor, found a southern accent and started campaigning from the back of a pickup truck extolling the virtues of hunting and white people. Meanwhile, Obama's spokesperson only puts out a flier or two mentioning that talk concerning his assassination should be out of bounds.

Quite a difference if you ask me.

10. Yeah, we shouldn't expect HRC to show "grace" when he's extended "understanding" toward
her and her UNFORGIVABLE "waiting around for an assassination in June" Freudian slip.

No, HRC's able to be as brutal as she wishes because she's The Chosen One, she's "Miss Hilly."

Those of us Obama supporters may not be "Acting out" near as much as HRC's adorers. However, you can BET that if HRC cheats and steals her way into this Nomination, there will be *HELL TO PAY* for the entire Democratic Party. Don't expect us there for you HRC supporters because we WON'T HEAR YOU ... no amount of whining and demands for "democratic unity" will work on us.

Not. This. Time. ---> The DLC steals THIS nomination - we won't be there for you - NO WAY! :nuke:
