Don't get it. What does this have to do with Obama? Was Obama there? Did he hire the priest to make comments? Is Obama even Catholic? Is this priest Catholic? Really, this is even more far-fetched than the Rev. Wright thing. Has Obama been attending Trinity during the campaigning?

5. It is only the Ugly Ickes Machine's desperate Obama bashing.
They are grasping at straws and I hope the Superdelegates will get them to cease and desist for the benefit of the Democratic Party. Enough is enough.

6. When you consider how the media took the Rev Wright non-story
and blew it up, this priest should have known to shut up. His words did nothing to help Obama and brings the Wright story to the forefront again. The media will love the chance to dig all that bullshit up again.

7. I started a thread about this but no one would listen. I'll try again.
BO told us during the Wright situation that the church was not just a Pastor. It was the church community. The church community at Trinity gives standing ovations and applauds racist speak. Mocking Hillary for thinking she deserves the nomination because she is White is racist speech. Obama needs to distance himself from this church immediately.

8. No it's not.
"Mocking Hillary for thinking she deserves the nomination because she is White is racist speech."

No, it's the condemnation of a racist.

11. Talking about any political candidate or mocking is wrong in any
church. Where is that love?

12. Denouncing racists is perfectly acceptable in the pulpit.
It should be done more often. Jesus overturned the moneylenders' tables, modern preachers should go after similar scoundrels.

18. You start by not being racist.
And I would certainly like to know why you think Mr. Pfleger (sp?) is a racist.

Of course, you're the person who started that bizarre thread about how Bill Cosby should be the black prophet, not Rev. Wright. So I'm sure you've got a very creative answer.

9. Didn't he already do this?
Do you think he spends all his time thinking about this church? It is a nonissue - Obama can't control the words of a guest speaker priest.

10. Hillary herself mocked Obama . . .
and her supporters applauded and cheered.

Where is your outrage for that?

Right.

13. We are talking about a clergy's speech not Hillary's.
Churches today openly influence their members politically. If they were good citizens in a democracy they would not.

15. the poster I responded to . . .
criticized the pastor for mocking Hillary. I asked the poster where was the outrage when Hillary mocked Obama.

Ideally, churches should not influence their members politically, and I am not defending Fr. Pfleger.
But really, I doubt that neither you nor the poster I responded to cares anything about Fr. Pfleger except as that he is a vehicle for you to criticize Obama.

Obama has not indicated that he supports Pfleger's remarks but rather has criticized him for making them. Other than that, there is little Obama can do. He cannot be personally responsible for everything said and done by the 19,000 members of his church and is not responsible for what the clergy or visiting clergy say in his church.

Just keep on doing everything you can to smear the man who will be running as the Democratic nominee. I'm sure the Freepers and neocons appreciate it.
