My apolitical son likes Obama...

He said when he hears Obama speak, he (my son) wants to do something about our country. He inspires him to get active.

I said to him that is what good leadership ability does, inspiring people to act. He asked me if I was voting for Obama and what I thought of Hillary. I said I'm voting for Obama and that I thought Hillary had some good ideas, specifically her health care plan was more attractive to me than Obama's.

But I said we need to retake Congress in a big way and I think Obama will inspire more people out to the polling booths than a Hillary nomination.

In addition to the three reps his gotten for the dems thanks to the GOP running anti-Obama ads, he was a major player in the 2006 takeover.

2. A very good reason to get involved locally

in whatever way you can. I would recommend that those whose choice wasn't Obama do this. I have been doing this since my candidate, Kucinich, dropped out in January, and it has given me a feeling of satisfaction knowing I am helping create a progressive Congress.
