Even -IF- Hillary Goes To Convention, She'll Be Irrelevant. She's Swirling Around The Toilet
Edited on Fri May-30-08 12:52 PM by cryingshame
right now, getting media attention only by virtue of her extreme rhetoric and behavior. So what if it takes til the first vote in August?

Isn't it time to stop over-reacting to Hillary? She can't afford ads, the press core has fewer and fewer people following her. Why give her the attention she's starved for?

Obama has the Nomination. Even if it isn't finalized with Ceremony until the first round of voting at the Convention.

The best strategy for Obama, his supporter and all Democrats should this drag on (which it probably won't) is to freaking EMBRACE IT!

Obama is our presumptive nominee. We might get the excitement of play-acting in Denver. The theater a vote brings. But it's Obama. Let the lady who is acting contrary to our party's best interests keep pretending she's got a chance up until that vote happens.

The only really draw back is Skinner seems to think "Presumptive" means until the lady who is acting like a petulant child says she's quitting. DU will have to put up with the trolls and Hillary supporters who condone her vitriol and divisive nonsense.

I refuse to continue to get worked up about this. It's a damned waste of energy. The crazy lady is swirling.

1. Let's just hope that she does not take her millions of supporters
"swirling down the toilet" with her or Obama will be the one in deep shit. It is rhetoric like that which you just posted that will doom Obama. We can not be so hateful to her supporters that we alienate them. They will either vote for McCain or write in her name on the ballots in November.

Hillary supporters have to wake up some time.

4. It is still a mistake to be so critical of her supporters.
Just because he is the nominee does not mean he will win in November. This childish game of saying they are deluded and need to wake up will not bring them into the fold. What exactly are Obama supporters going to do to win them over since he does need them to win? I would like to be a little more sure that we would have their votes or election night could prove to be really interesting. This is in no way a done deal and thinking that he has the White House in the bag is foolish. Imagine the shock if we wake up the day after the election and he lost. That is all I am thinking about when I see those on DU who support Obama being so comfortable and sure that he is going to win. Nothing is that certain. We have election fraud and voter issues to deal with and we need to completely overwhelm the system with votes in order to overcome these obstacles. In order to do that, we need all Clinton supporters to jump on the bandwagon. But no....We will smack them in the face and stab them in the back because we are just SO sure that they will all come Obama's way eventually.

12. Yes because we all know
That folks who get upset over a commentary on the internets are gonna vote for Obama? Really, it's getting old, telling folks not to have an opinion of the candidate you choose is childish. If folks cannot handle criticism of Hillary then how in the hell did they expect to handle the criticism the right wing was going to throw at her had she won the nomination? All this talk about Hillary being the stronger candidate was a lie. If her supporters are willing to sit out an election due to what folks say on the internet or because folks don't like her tactics then what does that say about how strong their candidate is? I don't like Hillary and I'm not going to hold my tongue because a dozen or so DU'ers get their e-feelings hurt. I know Hill supporters in real life and they are nothing like those of you on DU and they are not bitter-take-my-vote-and-cry because you say mean things about Hillary folks. They are down to earth people who realize that just like Obama may leave a bad taste in their mouths Hillary may leave a bad taste in my mouth. They are mature enough to know that this election is not about their feelings or emotions because they got families and more important things to worry about. They are not staying up at night fuming over my opinion of Hillary; more like staying up at night wondering if they have enough gas in the car to get to work and day care the next day. Thank god Obama is pulling in independents and even some repugs that know better than to vote for McCain. This meme you folks keep pushing on the internet is getting mighty old.

5. People had better hope that enough "deluded Clinton supporters" do not leave the party.
Edited on Fri May-30-08 01:04 PM by suston96
People here and on other Democratic forums and in the media are driving them away in droves.

17 million or more "deluded supporters" have voted for her and.....

....she had better be welcomed with open arms at the convention and even have her name placed in nomination so her "deluded supporters" can vote for her and get it all out of their systems.

So many people here and elsewhere have no clue about the nominating process and most important - no regard for how to achieve party unity after an almost violent and perhaps a fatally disruptive primary race.

11. Comments such as your post is why it's going to be very difficult
to vote for your man. They are totally unnecessary and disgusting...and I might add...so are you. I find it difficult to believe a Democratic could talk about another Democratic in such a Republican type manner. And you want my vote???!!! You better think again!

13. We don't want your vote.
Our democratic nominee does. He's done nothing against you to earn your empty threats of you voting for McCain come November. Actually, we're getting kind of fed up with the threats. They make you sound dumber than a wet lemming. Do what you will come November. Barack has done nothing to offend you. If you want to exact vengeance against the democratic party for comments on a frikkin discussion board, then you are the one with the problem, and I suggest you seek psychiatric help. You and the 15 other tantrum throwers on this site are as worrisome as a cloudy day.
