2. I'll join the Affirmation Group on that one.
I expected her to be president until she started acting like just a politician.

See: Kitchen sink.

4. For me, it's not even that it's "that" woman....
it is the way she has run her campaign, the people she has chosen to advise her and the racist/sexist bullshit that has come out of her camp. If the last 4 months would not have happened, then I might be a Hillary supporter, but anyone who does not have the judgement to fire Mark Penn immediately, the fiscal responsiblity to pay off her vendors and stay out of debt or the intestinal fortitude to rise and fall by her own merits rather than blaming the sexists or using dog whistle words that appeal to xenophobes is not qualified to be POTUS...

IMHO

5. It's not so much about Hillary Clinton
For me, it's much mroe about Barack Obama.

It isn't so much because I initially rejected Hillary, it's that I was drawn to Obama.

9. My view also, came to Obama over time.
Having trouble with the idea that sexism is the only reason HRC is losing. Of course Ferraro initially said BHO was only ahead because he was black.

10. Exactly
Just because your the woman or minority in the race doesn't mean you should win. That's not what equality is about. Equality is about having the opportunity to compete. She had that opportunity. She lost.

15. My wife used similar language to express the same sentiment.
In depth, and with appropriate passion.

14. I think that has to do with the reason a large majority of voters dismissed her
before she even began.. A lot of people have noticed that Bush, Clinton, Bush, Eh Clinton(?):eyes: look a bit like 2 families running this country.. Oligarchy.. and its not going so well for a lot of people.. and well, change might be good...

I really think the reason Obama took off was a cumination of 3 factors: #1) he was the anti-war candidate and when the process began almost 2 yrs ago, that was the story of the day. So, the grassroots picked their anti-war candidate #2) He is an outsider, a change, someone completely the opposite of GWB.. his name, his color, his youth... everything is completely the opposite of GWB. #3) He speaks really great. He can reach people with words. AND that power is really effective (again something completely opposite of GWB).

18. No, it's because there's some "other minority" who's a "fresh face."
Hillary would've had it in the bag, home run, complete obliteration, were it not for, yes, another minority of "historical precedent," running.

This is why she was very cold to Obama on the senate floor after he announced he was running.

She knew that it would fuck up her chances *despite* what everyone here says about her being "a shoe in."

It's simple, two different "minorities of historical precedent" one must lose.

20. Yep. Hillary is A woman, not ALL women.
She does not represent me, nor does she represent the vast percentage of women I know.
