I have noticed something recently - - Rightwing talking heads are scared of Obama

I do listen to talk radio a lot here in GOP red country, so I get to see which direction the wind is blowing.

Take note- Republicans and particularly the Right-wing talk radio bunch made up of Rush, Hannity, Ingraham, Bennett, Beck, Hewitt, Boortz, Gallagher, Savage, are getting scared of Obama. Something has happened very recently. Deep down, they feared the Clintons so much. And now here comes this guy out of nowhere who has taken apart the much vaunted "Clinton Machine". Oops.


When they mention Obama in their shows, you can sense a level of frustration and fear in how to "attack" him. It is like being told to scoop water in your hands and not to let a drop fall off. Well, you know that's impossible. That's the situation the Right-wing echo chamber finds itself in. Man, they are scared.



And once Barack Obama has the full Democratic Party apparatus behind him, watch out!

1. They spent 15 years whipping up Clinton hatred

and they thought a new fresh bunch of Clinton fund raising scandals would get them by this time. Then Clinton proved to be a less than capable campaigner and it turned out their 15 years of cheerleading was wasted. They can't change course rapidly and it takes a long time for their moran followers to adjust to the new talking points. They are really afraid they won't be able to get anything to stick to Obama in the short time they have left. They realize Obama is adept at deflecting these kind of smears.

Plus they have just a piss poor sorry laughable Bob Dole type candidate themselves and they know it.

5. They picked McCain

as the best they had to run against Hillary. I expect that this is correct, even though Hillary would likely have beat him. He was never their best choice to run against Barack. Mitt Romney, a bit younger and a bit more of an "outsider" would have been a better choice for that task. Still a loser, but a bit stronger.

you are correct, they have been prepping the ground to defeat Hillary in the "minds" of their listeners for a decade. Shifting fields is not their strong suit and Barack is a bit used to hardball politics. Better yet, the best they have been able to come up with for dirt is Dr. Wright, and that dog won't hunt. There is just not enough meat for them to work with, and given the mood of the country, they would need something enormous. They are pretty sure that they do not have it.

Mr. Adkins was on State Circle, he heads VA affairs in Maryland, said that the feds are supposed to do it but...connect the dots, he also said that there are 1.5 million people who have served in Iraq with 750,000 now home and that all National Guard who have served multiple tours get no mental health care, something that Maryland will now help with.

going on in this country that makes this election unlike any other. I know people refer to past elections and say things like..'this is nothing, you should have seen whatever'..but this is something, for those of us who are being affected today, and are worried about our future. In a way the Bush Administration has done us a tremendous favor by being such an educational tool, in what bad government is. And that is what the GOP has to run away from. Who they are, and what they have done.

with some unknown like Obama clinching the nomination.

They assumed, as did Hillary, that with her big fat war chest, billions of favors lined up, name brand recognition, and a former prez in their corner that she would be the nominee, and by Super Tuesday it would be completely in the bag. At least they placed all their bets on it - she has been vetted, and come up short over the years. They probably had commercials done already, talking points outlined of scandal after scandal. She has more ammo to be pointed her way then a pony has poop - imagine their glee at having this bounty at their disposal to toss at her repeatedly.

And then this unknown dude comes out of left field, blows the Clinton apparatus off the map, plays by the rules of delegate math as outlined by the DNC like a chess master, learns on the job to be an even better candidate than he started out being, and even weathers all that the Clintons can throw at him. Turns most of it back onto them as blowback.

The repubs weren't prepared for anyone other than Clinton, and certainly not for this guy who is turning out to be a more worthy competitor than they. It will be fun to watch them implode.
