How dare you screw the thousands of Floridians who did not vote because they do not own property and had no interest in voting because their votes would not count? I never respected you before- and now it's gone beyond that- the same goes for Karen Thurman and Debbie Wasserman Schultz- you all can go to hell.

I feel a bit better now- especially since Wexler is on next.

Do Florida And Michigan Primaries Really Reflect The Will Of The People? Nope.
By Eric Kleefeld - May 30, 2008, 5:46PM

As the DNC prepares to decide the fates of the Florida and Michigan delegations tomorrow, a key question has to be asked: Did those rogue primaries truly reflect the will of their states' Democratic voters?

The case against that proposition, it turns out, is a fairly compelling one in statistical terms.

Here's why: If you take a close look at the numbers, it turns out that while the Florida primary turnout was high relative to past primaries within the state, the relative Democratic turnout vs. the Republican primary lagged way behind relative party turnout in other primaries and caucuses across the country, where the voting counted from the start. And in Michigan in particular, the voting level there was simply abysmal.

This suggests the possibility that far more Democratic voters would have come out in both states if they'd expected the contests to count, meaning that it's hard to argue that the primaries that actually took place really reflected the will of the people.

19. Thank you. It was all about the stupid tax bill which which brought new voters out
But- most didn't actually read the tax bill inclusions - they simply believed that it meant a deduction of real estate taxes which was a lie.

11. I keep shouting this from the rooftops....
The voting was all about property tax reform. A watered down proposal, that passed, from our dear Governor for supposed tax relief.

16. It was ALL about the property tax issue
The primary was referred to repeatedly as a "beauty contest" and nobody seemed to object.

20. Nope. Only 17% of voters turned out. MORE repubs turned out

The RNC stripped half the delegates from the Republicans for having their primaries early. Sound familiar?

17. You can bet on on one thing
If this was reversed, and Obama would be get the majority of votes, he would he using the same argument that there were a lot of voters that did not turn out, and so their votes weren't counted for Hillary! If I lived in Florida I would do everything I could to make sure this man was not re-elected!

It is clear that Bill Nelson is being combative and did not come to the RBC meeting in any spirit of unity. That's complete and utter bullshit.
