Oh, the poor voters. We can't disenfranchise them! We can't let their voices and their votes go uncounted! We Floridians ALWAYS have our votes taken away!

Hmmm...one wonders why that is.

Regardless, propping up "Florida's voters being punished" is a great emotional talking point, but this belies the real issue - their party leadership let them down. This is the problem.

Wouldn't it be nice to see the Florida Democratic Leadership taking just an iota of responsibility for this mess?

1. Bill Nelson is a republican and Florida is a red state
He even got a stronger endorsement for re-election from Jeb Bush than did Katherine Harris who was the republican running against him.

4. If they would get their shit together,
we wouldn't have to go to the mat every four years to fix the messes they create.

7. GOD FUCKING FORBID the Fl Dem Leadership take some responsibility...
Instead, they take NO responsibility for this mess, nor do they at all recognize that their actions in part resulted in this circumstance. Instead they pose a fantasy whereby the poor Florida voters just "happened" to get disenfranchised for no particular reason, through nobody's fault but their own.

This is false, and their propping up of their constituents who have been hurt by THEIR actions don't change this.

6. Yes! It's disgusting because the Clintons are exploiting what happened in 2000
and there's a huge difference in this election. The Clintons and The Enablers will blame Obama when Obama didn't set the rules at all. But they have somehow convinced voters and supporters that Obama caused this. He didn't.

8. They should have thought about that before they took daddy's car without permission.
Went on that late night joy ride, got busted for wreckless driving and DUI.

9. Wow...Florida didn't even petition to have their state earlier in the process...
Unlike Michigan, Florida didn't even petition the DNC to move their primary early.

10. Well those officials did not drop from the sky
They were put in place via votes, from those who bother to participate. The Party leadership was picked by the rank and file. If they bothered.
God did not pick them. Hillary did not pick them. Dr Dean did not pick them. The voters who voted picked them. They ran for the positions and won. Any Democrat in Florida could run for those postions, and frankly, after 2000, I expected Florida to be a hot bed of Party activity. Looks to me like nothing got done at all. 8 years and Florida is still a mess, and the only ones who can clean that mess up are you, the Democratic voters of Florida. Please get up and take care of business. Stop playing childish blame games and instead get up and make sure this stuff comes to an end. Run to be a Party official yourself! Nothing is stopping you. Stop complaining and organize. Do the work. Or accept the tryanny of those you chose to do the work for you.
Sorry, but it is not like the Party Leadership came from a UFO. They came for Florida, and you all voted them in, or did not bother to vote for better.

12. It's similar to the tactic used by some gun-control supporters
It goes something like this: "If you are against banning assault weapons, I want you to look into the eyes of this 19-year-old gangster. He's been convicted of burglary, larceny, grand theft auto, and numerous assault charges, and then he got shot in the ass by someone with a gun that held 11 rounds of ammunition. You tell that poor boy that you oppose sensible gun laws that would restrict magazine capacity to 10 shots instead of 11!"
