I need to understand this. Bill Nelson asserts that the Dems didn't go along with that and how they were duped by the governor and the Repug-controlled legislature. But what is the real story? I understood that the majority of the FL Dems voted WITH the Repugs.

1. Bill Nelson is a republican
Just look at his voting record and who endorsed him in his last re-election

2. As I understand it
the Republican congress in FL tacked this onto a bill that needed to be passed. The Democrats had little choice but to vote for it.

Michigan is a whole different story.

3. Did they really have to vote for it? They still didn't get a paper trail, so I don't
understand why they are asserting that they were FORCED to vote with the Repugs.

5. I think the bill that it was tacked onto
was a paper ballot bill, which Democrats are generally for.

6. How about

they were sick and tired of small states like Iowa, New Hemisphere, Nevada and South Carolina getting such a big say on who our next president is and thought there state ( which has been SOO key in last few elections) should get an early say
