Those of us in other states have NOT forgotten how FL and MI got into this mess and jeopardized their own citizens votes. It's not the DNCs fault. It's not Howard Dean's fault. It's not Obama's fault. It's not Hillary's fault. It's not the fault of the other 48 states who can follow simple rules.

It is Florida's fault.

It is Michigan's fault.

4. I cannot see it having reached this far if anyone but HC were "championing" their "right" to break
the rules that they agreed upon.

10. That's exactly right
HRC is single handedly creating mass chaos...with much more to come. Who needs the rnc?

14. The DLC is the "left" arm of the RNC = Politics as usual. There's all kinds of Dems in positions
that owe the DLC and who depend on the OLD Politics as Usual to get their legislation through. The IWR was the ultimate fruit of this relationship and HC voted for an at least 50:50 Chance of War BECAUSE she planned to run for pResident.

5. Yes but to be clear- it was not the citizens or voters in FL and MI who did this-
it was our state Democratic Party Leaders. They are the ones here in FL who disenfranchised us by breaking the rules, ignorning the DNC offers to help with a recount and then, once their candidate was desperate for votes, began a ruthless campaign to count every vote thereby disenfrachising the million or so voters who did not vote here in FL because it would not be counted.

7. It doesn't seem like any pressure or punishment is being applied to your state's leaders.
Why not?

16. I Debate The Last Point
everything you said is true, but the last point is an incomplete. It is true millions did not vote because we were told it wouldn't count. However, turnout was still higher than in 2000 and 2004 when the nominee was decided before Florida got its turn. In 2004, voter turnout was about half what it was in 2008. To be fair, we can't be sure whether it was the Beauty Contest Primary or Property Tax Amendment dragging Democrats out this January.

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/primaries/pages/states/FL/index.html

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/state/#val=FL

So, you see, saying millions didn't vote because they didn't think it would be counted is technically true, but doesn't tell the whole story.

17. Exactly! Did any of today's protesters raise a finger back when it could have REALLY made
a difference? Not many, I'll bet.

12. Actually Michigan has a more substantive argument -
and are calling NH out for violating the reform agreement. They should still be penalized but they should be listened to. Levin had very substantial reasoning.

18. I sure wish I could understand this whole mess. It sure is
distracting us all from important issues. But I have faith that Howard Dean will do what is right.
