Obama could have had 10,000 supporters making noise and adding drama today! He chose not to!
That's why what the "theater" that we witnessed today doesn't mean diddly squat.

It was all show, but the real activists decided to do as Obama requested.

They were registering voters....and keeping their eye on the prize; with powder staying dry!

Kudos to Sen. Barack Obama for having great wisdom. That is what will be needed to govern this country effectively.

THANK YOU BARACK OBAMA! :patriot:

18. I seriously think that was what they were expecting
that would've been ugly for us all.

I heard a report that there were repubs on the scene questioning supporters and video taping comments like "if she doesn't win, I'm voting McCain"....

that's disgusting from the repubs, but we should know better, I hope there were minimal incidents of this.

30. Would have been an easy feat.......but instead chose "no drama".....
You think the Hillary supporters will figure this out?

I don't have any faith that the media will. But since photo-ops showed such a meager gathering, it would only make Hillary look the more pitiful for the media to show any footage of them. CNN did earlier and it looked pathetic.

they could have gone against his wishes and showed up, they did not. Obama showed his strong leadership qualities in his call for supporters to put their energies into something positive, registering voters and that is what they did. It was very impressive all the way around.

42. The Party knows this and will remember this.
Edited on Sat May-31-08 08:40 PM by Unbowed
The behavior of Clinton camp just killed any chance Hillary had for a future in the Democratic Party.

Today showed the DNC there is a clear choice for the future of the Party. By the disgust on their faces while those idiots were screaming and interrupting the proceedings, it was pretty clear the Clintons are toast. I don't think there's any chance of Hillary being on the ticket after this.

And her "supporters" are the ones who delivered the coupe de grace.

edit to add: With supporters like that who needs enemies?

It is great that even though he is thoroughly moderate in his stands, he has won such loyalty from his most offensive followers. It will be important that he continue to reign them in if he hopes to win over Democrats who backed Hillary or are still undecided. Fortunately, his most zelous followers are his flock, and they follow his command.

55. I notice some Hilly supporters
Who were so embarrassed with their own that they tried to put this on Obama supporters yesterday. I notice a couple of "what if Obama supporters went" post yesterday. I honestly hope it made them feel better to "what if" and to "imagine." What is so crazy is that Obama did have a few supporters there yesterday but none of them behaved bat shit crazy like the Hilly supporters did and that is a fact. Sorry for those who are so embarrassed with Hilly supporters yesterday but it is what it is. Obama supporters had enough respect for themselves to respect the panel and not go off screaming "Denver, Denver" what a bunch of clowns. Yesterday we got a first hand look at who is willing to divide the party to get what they want and who is not. They talk about us being nice to them to bring them to the fold but they did themselves no favors yesterday.

57. Don't these dimwits moonlight for Ron Paul at GOP state conventions?
Maybe I'm just confusing the raucous noise, outright rudeness, and batshit looniness for the type of bedlam that's occurred at some recent Republican state conventions at the hands of Ron Paul supporters. Idaho's convention is coming up -- that one should be lots of fun since Paul got his best showing in a primary vote there. Perhaps the long-winded Clinton demonstrators, provided their oxygen supply is still holding up, could show up and "help out" a bit?
