3. Bye-bye, DLC.
Clinton won't make a graceful exit, but she (and the DLC) is out, regardless.

17. We have, we really have!
It's an amazing moment, one I'll never forget.

It's a victory of the most astounding proportions. Don't underestimate what has happened here. It's been a long slog, and it's been very difficult and trying at times. Many of us have lost friends over this election. Many of us hope we can find the common ground necessary to beat McCain.

But, what a day!! We deserve this moment of celebration!!!!

18. Not entirely. Definitely not if we stop being active in 2009
I remember being relieved when Clinton was elected in 1992, and promptly quit paying attention. Not this time.

19. Time to roll up our sleeves and get busy on the real work at hand.
First, winning the GE.
Next, we rebuild our nation.

21. We must win this election
Democrats Unite. I am writing this tonight because so much is riding on our ability to unite and bring the Hillary supporters into the Obama fold.
I am jumping the gun on your celebration but I feel so emphatic about this issue. We cannot afford to have conservative judges added to the Supreme Court. I will give you an example. I am a 65 year old nurse who worked as a young graduate before Row vs Wade was overturned. Many women would come to the hospital, slip into a bathroom and use a coat hanger to abort their fetus. They came there so that they could get immediate help and not die from hemorrhaging instead of going to some back alley where their fate would be sealed in a short time. These are not things a young person as myself could easily stomach and I am not judging any woman that took this action for their own private reason. I am older now and understand the complexities of what might cause a person to take these measures. We cannot afford to carry any animosity toward Clinton supporters and must make every effort to come together for the sake of women's health and the many other issues that a conservative court could inflict upon our nation.

22. While I would not like to see Roe v. Wade, a wedge issue, be the center
of the GE campaign, I agree with what you are saying. I would point out that, regardless of where you live in the world (and I have lived in a nation where a woman aborting a fetus could be punished by death), women will find a way to end unwanted pregnancies regardless of the laws of the land. People need to get real about the complexities of relationships and choice, and realize that the cookie cutter family really doesn't exist. That families come in all combinations of gender and color. That we are better for it as a nation. That our choices need to be our own.

I trust that Obama will do right by the women of the nation.

23. I agree with you 100%
I guess I used this as an example not that it should be the main issue. I am just emphasizing that this is an important election to ensure that Obama is our President. We cannot afford more Conservative Justices sitting on the Supreme Court. Unity as a party is the key at the ballot box.

28. ITA. Obama has challenged DNC leadership simply by changing politics...
in campaigning, which attracted legions of supporters. This has forced the DNC to rethink it's focus, and broken the Clintons' choke-hold on OUR party.
