from any of those public figures who have made statements on the record? That sounds like a great idea, but I wouldn't want to give the impression that 'pugs are in the forefront of promoting stem cell research.

any statements they made on TV, as news coverage, can certainly be made available as matter of public record, I think

if not, their QUOTES can be used, for sure

the videos of their actually saying things like this, of course, would be infinitely more effective

No way do we use Nancy in a political ad because it might just tempt her to come out for the RNC in NYC. People know where she stands because the media explains it, and we should leave it at that.

However, you make a great point that Kerry should make it a major issue in the campaign.

I have been thinking about how to make that ad and what would be best is to have paraplegics (Christopher Reeves, et al.) and those who suffer from disease explain why they are for stem cell research, how it helps them etc. Then, they can express their disappointment over Bush and attack the "pro-life" argument.
