Face it DU: Hillary deserved to win
and lost.

Barack deserved to win. And won.

Fortunately we still have Hillary to be out there taking a lead with important issues and fighting/ working for what matters for all of us as she always has.

Fortunately we have Obama as the presidential nominee.

1. Everyone has the right to their opinion
Personally I disagree, but I'm sure I would have felt them same way if the tables were turned. I'm not one of the people gloating about it. It's time to move on and beat the living hell out of Grampa McGrumpy.

3. Interesting point.
We had two excellent candidates. Shit, we had 9 excellent candidates. Every last one of our Democratic candidates was so much better than what the GOP offered up.

But it came down to 2 and only one could be the nominee. They both would make fine Presidents. Our candidate is Obama. :toast: But here's to Hillary :toast:

She's not going anywhere. She'll be there to help us win in November. :bounce:

4. not to start a flame war but
if HRC had shown half as much fight against Bush during the past 7 years as she did against Obama during the past 5 months, and if she'd stayed as positive as she was in her speech today, then maybe I could agree that she deserved to win.

But she hasn't and she didn't. So I agree Barack deserved to win. And won.

7. I agree. Hillary has not impressed me in Washington and horrified me in her year long campaign
she did not deserve to be in the WH.

5. It sucks when you have 2 great choices
However I'll take 2 awesome choices over what the GOP had this year any year.

6. The reason I did not want her to get into the race is I knew how vicious it was going to be
towards her.

The reason I did not want him to get into the race was because once she did, I wanted to have only one history making "viable" candidate at a time. I hate it has to be that they both did it at the same time. gah.

9. It Is What It Is
I have a lot of problem with the rules in this case but Obama won by the rules...If anybody wants to suggest this race wasn't close or couldn't have went either way they are beyond persuasion...

11. Absolutely
and no doubt he supports Obama and Clinton both. Kucinich is very loyal to the Dem party and its candidates.

20. True enough
In 2004 I spent a good amount of time swearing to write Kucinich in if Kerry didn't choose him for VP. Ironically, even while I was going door to door campaigning for Kerry, I was still stuck with an internal code that wouldn't let me vote for him personally.

12. Hillary deserved to lose, and lost.
Her campaign was a mismanaged, financially and strategically.

16. I'm kind of an empiricist on this one: you don't "deserve" to win unless you actually win
That having been said, had Hillary won she would probably be a pretty good president, even though I disagreed with most of her politics.

17. Very well put JoFerret! We had two EXCELLENT candidates!
They both deserved this. Hillary deserved to win and sadly lost. Obama deserved to win and won! We have a great nominee now, and we're gonna (hopefully) win this thing in November!

A ticket of Obama/Clinton would rock though. :)

21. She deserved to lose and she lost
For running one of the worst campaigns in a long long time.
The nomination was hers until she started in on this disaster
of a campaign. She chose all the wrong people to surround
herself with. The crappiest advisers imaginable. The worst
financed campaign in a long time. She's just where she earned
a place, and the buck is suppose to stop with her.
