Attacking McCain's perceived strengths: Obama gets it.
It's great to see Obama's team using military experts to jump on McCain's every bobble, inaccuracy, misrepresentation and misunderstanding of the facts on Iraq and national security. It's the one issue on which McCain leads in the polls: nothing in this election will be more important than discrediting McCain's bogus military "expertise."

1. Yes, and the key is teamwork
Using people like Wes Clark, who has a military background and is viewed as an expert in the field because of his years on TV helps enormously.

7. Wes Clark's comments were right on... McCain has never commanded anything...
larger than his Senate staff and a squad on an aircraft carrier.... or some such.

Mentioning the carrier was pointed, IMO... because a missile from McCain's plane "fell off" and killed about 140 guys.

Way to nail his ring thumbing ass, General.

14. Ummm...Clark also endorsed Karl Rove's "math" that proved Hillary could win the primary....
I see a conflict here.

19. I think it raises the question: How can Clark be right about Rove and....
support Obama?

about everything. They are right about some things, wrong about others.

23. I think by the time
they were quoting Rove math, they were getting to the point of desperation. It was more wishful thinking and denial rather than really believing it. They wanted it to be right. That's all they had left.

2. Unlike Kerry who used his military experience to up his credibility,
McCain uses it as a shield. Anytime Obama attacks him he just snarls "I'M A WAR HERO."

11. It's funny. In my father's generation (WWII), being a POW
would not make you a de facto war hero. And if you made propaganda films for the enemy, you could pretty much forget cashing in on your military cred as a politician.

4. Bush did it to Kerry in the swiftboat ads
Kerry's Vietnam service was seen as a strength, Bush hit him there.

I should add: I'm not saying that what Obama is doing is akin to "swiftboating," just that both are examples of hitting a candidate where's he's strong.

5. I have been very pleasantly surprised with Obama's aggressiveness.
He's really taking it to McCain every day, responding rapidly within the same news cycle to any shit talking that sawed off little pecker head throws his way.
