We're working pretty damn hard

it's been hard to participate here on DU- my life as a partisan has ended, and my life as a representative of Barack has begun. The caustic internet warrior has had to go away.

There's not really time, anyway. Campaign tired is a special brand of tired. Sort of one of those things where you worked as hard and on as many things as a human can be expected to do, but there are an infinite amount of tasks for tomorrow and the days ahead.

But it's been great. I've already met such wonderful, passionate people, and I am not just talking about those affiliated with the campaign. We've been out in the community, talking talking and talking with people, but also planning, but also really talking and *listening*. This is truly the campaign where we listen to each other and often find common ground we didn't know existed when we first sat down.

It's been incredible, it's been exhausting, it's been way more work than they warned us to expect. Every now and then a burst of hope really carries us along, and with a splitting head ache and my spirit waiting, a little you tube "we are the ones" definitely helped me push on this afternoon.

I am proud that I am putting my shoe leather where my mouth is, to turn that expression on its head- this is a challenge to all of you: don't just talk the talk- get out there and register voters, volunteer at campaign events, talk to your neighbors, travel to contested areas in traveling distance, and for God sakes, if you're near the Lehigh Valley region and have ANY interest in volunteering, please contact me. I've got numbers to hit, y'all.
