Plouffe is right about Obama, Kerry and McCain
Edited on Sat Jun-28-08 10:08 PM by ProSense
Plouffe optimistically tells viewers that John McCain doesn't have many opportunities to grab any of the 252 electoral votes that went to Kerry, while the Obama camp is going after 2004 red states like Iowa, Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada, and even some "unusual" places like Alaska, Montana and North Dakota.

In the 2004 election, more than 121 million people voted and Kerry got 59 million votes to Bush's 62 million, a less than 2.5 % margin. It was an extremely close election. That's something when you consider the terror alerts, swiftboating and media complicity, and the rest.

I'm fairly confident that Obama will match or exceed Kerry's 59 million votes. I can't envision any scenario in which McCain gets 62 million or more votes.

McCain will be stretched thin, and he's wasting ads in California. I really think he wants to lose.
