ELKHART, Ind. (WISH) - Presidential hopeful Barack Obama will make a campaign stop in Elkhart on Wednesday.

24-Hour News 8 has learned Senator Evan Bayh will introduce Obama at a town hall meeting at Concord High School.

Obama will outline his "New Energy for America" plan, which will provide an immediate energy rebate to Americans struggling with high gas prices, create five million new green jobs, and eliminate our need for Middle Eastern oil in 10 years.

The event is free and open to the public.

Tickets will be available at the Obama campaign office at 116 South Main in Elkhart from 4 to 9 p.m.

2. One of the panel members on Meet The Press
said Bayh, Biden and Kaine were all going to get "face time" with Obama this week. This must be Bayh's turn. :7

We'll see if the other two pan out. I wonder if this does give weight to the rumors that the VP will most likely be one of the three?

3. He's the highest profile Democrat in the state
There's not a whole lot to read into it. Based on the fact that I've seen at least two different ads played a few times for Obama, none for McCain, and a whole lot of Obama bumper stickers, it seems to me that the campaign is pushing hard to put this state in the blue column, or at least make it a drain on McCain's resources.
