1. I will support whomever Obama chooses as his running mate, as I trust his judgment. I want to win.

3. That's great but when your core message is change you can believe in I
think that only vetting DLC candidates can and will be used to argue Obama is not about real change. Hopefully, that is not the case.

5. Is the "someone" really you? Why don't you just wait and see who he selects
instead of relying on media rumor.

point as a reason they will not support him (as in I've heard Obama has only vetted DLC VP candidates, is that true, because if it is why should I support more of the same). I find it hard to believe that he would only vet DLC candidates but I can't really argue the point without naming people who are non DLC.

16. John Kerry joined the DLC in 2004, and I don't hold it against him--depends on their record.

Dems, he belonged to the late New Democrats Senate caucus, who is affiliated to the DLC, since the New Democrat caucus has been created, some time in the 1990s.

Since 2004, given the lack of affection that the DLC has shown to Kerry and the fact that he has mostly gone in a different way, my guess is that he is not that close from them.

As there are no official lists from the DLC, it is indeed difficult to know who belongs or not, except for those who hold official position or claim their affiliation.

12. well, to be "in" the DLC (unless in a leadership role) you have to an office holder.
To that end, Wes Clark is not "in" the DLC. However, he was recruited by Bill Clinton in 2003 and has been known to advice the DLC on military matters.

But in all seriousness it's a good question, I'm not sure, heck I'm not even SURE whether many of the reported names have even been vetted.

Like in "you're arguing b/c he would pick a Republican that means he's not a corporate Democrat."
