So. McCain hasn't asked the Kerry Camp to pull ads in which he's featured
Is that right? I think it's only an internet ad, but I believe that he asked them to pull a previous ad that they had him in.

1. I thought he told the Bush campaign to pull one
I don't think he's been in any Kerry ads until the Internet one.

10. MoveOn used a clip of McCain in an ad
And McCain asked them to stop using it. Don't know about any clips of him in Bush ads.

2. I don't think he has the right to ask
This is footage of a primary debate - I don't think he has any rights to it. It's civic discourse, a news event.

4. You can always ask. After all, he is speaking at the Republican
Convention. If he was a diehard * supporter, you'd think that he would ask them to pull the ads. There was some previous ad that he asked one of the campaigns to pull that he was in.

3. i think the deal was for Kerry to condemn moveon, but if Bush doesn't do
the same and if the swiftboat liars ads keep running, mccain will keep his mouth shut if kerry runs an ad after it . at least that's what i am hoping.

5. Some people Say McCain really WAS in a Hilton during the
time he was supposedly held captive. That the CIA had a Hilton in Hanoi.

Some people say that Smirky has said he would expose McCain for lying about being a POW if he didn't support Smirk in this Boat thingy.

I don't know if its true, but I know a number of people in Texas who would sign affidavits to that effect for a six pack of beer.

When will McCain come clean about his trumped up war record?

6. one of those attacking Kerry now said in 2000 that McCain was the only
pow to come back who had gained weight.

and i DO remember the attacks on mccain, and his service from the 2000 primary. i remember the bush supporting republicans would attack mcccain's record and try to say things to imply his service wasn't heroic.

and for those who criticize and claim kerry talks about vietnam too much. mccain was accused of doing the same thing then.

7. I can't agree
Where is your evidence that McCain trumped up his war record? This is the same sort of mud-slinging we deplore in the Right. Kerry is a war hero. McCain is a war hero. Cleland is a war hero. C'mon, this is unworthy of DU.

8. The poster was being funny.
Implying that there are people in Texas would sign their names to it - just like the swiftvets who lied.
