1. but what about the veterans poll, showing 37% support for kerry?
i don't remember where i saw this, but after the dnc, support amongst vets for kerry was just above 50% or so, and then since the sbv bullshit, that number is at 37%. maybe i saw it at dailykos.
does anybody know if support from vets has improved recently?

2. focus on the forest
and not the trees. We are winning. We need to get the focus back to the issues and Kerry started that today.

3. very slight damage- minimal in the big picture
It was 46 -46 among vets- but it didn't change Kerry's lead overall. TN now has Kerry ahead by 2 , which is amazing.

4. It just doesn't seem likely that Kerry had a solid 50% support
I do remember reports that he was getting more support than Gore, but an even split? Not. Soldiers don't actually like to be shot at - Bush is essentially shooting at them. Those soldiers who support an idiot like the Dubster had to have been born and raised in Repuke homes - so what difference does it make?

7. The poll in question....
...had a subset of veterans so small -- less than 200 -- that the MoE was near 9%, and there were problems as well with how the overall sample was selected.

From memory, so correct me if I'm wrong...

5. Bush's unfavorables are still nightmarish
And the SBV sure aren't helping him there.

This thing has been a superficial wound at best for Kerry.

As we all know, he is way too tough politically to let such a feeble attack take him down.

6. More people than ever know Kerry is a war hero...

Total backfire for the GOP on this one...

I think Kerry is about to switch gears big time...Leave the GOP festering in the military issue...

Is BushCo ready to talk issues...?

Kerry needs to sieze the agenda - He needs a "powerful serve"...(to use a sports metaphor...) Make them volley...hopefully before they can look up the SwiftBoat thing...
