I'm becoming so frickin' frustrated with DU. If people are going to start a thread, don't be so obscure! I assume that whatever the hell it is you're talking about has been talked about in another thread, but so many people start meaningless threads like this that they push threads with ACTUAL CONTENT in them OUT OF SIGHT.

I miss more than I learn here because everything goes away so fast. I just got home and I've spent 15 minutes trying to figure out what the hell happened at Crawford this morning. No luck, because people posting meaningless, content-free, obscure references to something (what?? Perry? what??) that happened has pushed whatever the hell actually happened down into the depths.

I see this Subject Line and say "ooh ooh, what happened? this sounds good!" but no, now I have to go searching to figure out what you're going on about.

5. Cleland and Rassman tried to deliver a letter to Bush in Crawford

Demanding an apology. Bush sent out a second-rate Texas official (hiding behind a vet) and Cleland wouldn't hand over the letter.

All around great.

I'm sure you've figured that out by now.

You just have to get used to the speed of things. People aren't going to recap in every post, that would be equally annoying.

6. I agree...

If someone is going to start a thread, the thread should contain enough information (links) to material to allow others to comment. I'm tired of the obscureness as well.

If someone is going to start a thread regarding something they are seeing on TV, they need to again, provide enough context for those who aren't watching the program to be able to understand why the thread was being created.

7. Suggestion - I read the Latest Breaking News threads first

then I go to the Discussion threads to get commentary.

Often the LBN threads give me everything I need anyway. It is a terrific board. The others here are excellent, but LBN is essential.
