Patterson dissed by media! Bush camp TOTALLY UNPREPARED for Cleland!

The Bush camp was totally unprepared for Max Cleland's little trip to Crawford. They sent that chief dog catcher for Texas Larry Patterson out to confront Cleland at the ranch. Cleland leaves goes to the press area in Crawford, holds an impromptu press conference and just KICKS BUSH/GOP ASS all over the place. Upon Cleland rolling away (literally he is in a wheelchair) Patterson steps up to the mike, but he gets dissed by the media that chases after Cleland.

It get's even better because when he does get the media's attention he comes off as a bumbling idiot. He says he got a call on his cell phone, from somebody with Bush/Cheney (he does not know who, maybe Ken Mehlman), admits that Bob Perry has donated to his campaigns for dog catcher (OK land commissioner & state legislature). . .says the letter he has was drafted by Bush/Cheney. This guy was so bad it was pitiful!

He was not ready for prime time and Bush/Cheney got caught with its pants down! BIG TIME!

Oh yeah, he was able to mention that even though he had not talk to Bush since he was elected he was surprised that Bush knew that he had twins 6 months ago. I think he said something like "Bush said that a man in his 50's having twins." Jeeze

After Cleland, Rassman, and their band of brothers were done with the press they turned around and started leaving, moving away from the cameras. Suddenly this Patterson guy bounds into the picture and says "I have a letter here for.." and turns around to see Cleland and his pals are already on the way out. Meanwhile the press are rustling about, preparing to decamp, and Patterson tries to follow Cleland. That's when CNN cut off the live feed to go to their reporter so she could shill for the president. A bit later they go back to Patterson so he can deliver his talking points.

I was amazed at how bad he looked. It won't get shown on the nightly news, but it was LOL funny.
