did you SEE Max Cleland in Crawford Texas??????

he went to deliver a letter to Bush
and was greeted by the Texas Land Use guy (or some such)
and refused to give the letter to HIM

then went on CNN and went WILD excoriating Bush
it was fabulous!!!!!!!!

...in the meantime, the Bush/Cheney folks
had a letter written this morning
and signed by some vets
and tried to have 'Mr Land Use' deliever it to Cleland
who wouldn't touch it woth a 10 ft pole

1. Saw Clelland and he absolutely rocked

He and James Rasmussen were great. Behind them both were other veterans. Max talked about Bush's record in trashing vets including himself and McCain. His remarks were simple, honest, and hard-hitting.

In fact there are several people in this room who didn't see him there either. I've always been a fan of Max Cleland but that leads me to conclude, I'm afraid, that he wasn't there at all.

3. what i loved was when one of the veterans who was with cleland

replied, loud and clear, to something that was said, by repeating:

" * flip flopped, he flip flopped, he's a flip flopper, flip flop. "
(very close quote but not precise.)

boy, did they have that coming for a long time!
