18. hah he does sorta
on those pictures, thanks Max, Rass, and other vets. This was also the first time, I got a good look at Cleland, its a really sad thing to see that he has no legs and only one arm but Cleland like FDR eighty years ago proves that you don't let your disablity or in his case, war injuries get to you, you only let it make you stronger. Ive read of Kerry and Cleland's friendship, it's a beautiful story, makes you know what kind of man we will have running our country next year a man who goes beyond simple political friendships but to a brotherhood that is something I can't explain.

9. I've met Secret Service agents before
at a demonstration I was participating in 26 years ago. They are really quite rational and reasonable, just concerned about doing the job they've been assigned to do. So, if you aren't a threat back and are reasonable on your own part, they can be quite friendly.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if this particular agent is completely disgusted with what his job required today.

16. Max is a HERO
Another war hero slimed by the Repuke junk yard dogs.

I cant imagine how people like him and Kerry feel hearing these attacks.

The Repukes are attacking EVERY veteran when they attack these men.

15. Notice the Reuters caption...
is even calling them Swift Boat Veterans for Bush, not Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

I love that the Kerry campaign has got everyone using the Bush name.

Kinda like saying Saddam and 9/11 in the same speech, over and over and over.

19. Bush = No Class
If Bush had any class whatsoever, any courage, any decency he would have greeted Cleland himself personally, invited him in, given him an ice cold drink, and had a congenial discussion.

But of course Bush is without class and these normal human gestures are beyond him.

From his point of view, how much better he would have appeared if he did something like that. It wouldn't have looked wimpish but decent.

Anyway, once again, Bush shows how worthless he is.

25. Agreed.
Bush has no class whatsoever. His #'s will surely plummet after this debacle. Any human would have atleast met the man face to face and offered him a drink and a freaking place to sit down...

By far the worst president ever going after amputees and real veterans.

The Republican Party has whored itself out to GWB for power. Once he is defeated which is all but a certainty given his internals, they will be out of any significant high offices for years to come. May God judge them all as they deserve to be judged....

We WILL gain our country back in a matter of days now....

Our first priority should be to get the hell out of Iraq while we still have the opportunity to do so. Let this not be Vietnam all over again. We must learn the lesson of history and let the people fight it out.

It's brilliant. The visual of a triple amputee shaming Chimpy is priceless. The coward won't even come to the door. What a brilliant story/picture to show the press.

36. Max Cleland had bi-partisan respect in Georgia
once upon a time. He is so remarkable, I often forgot he was a triple amputee when I was a Georgia resident reading about issues he impacted and supported.

I was stunned when I heard people like Ann Coulter bash him. There simply are no words to describe the "treason" that vile behavior feels like to me.

That * hasn't even got the kahunas to just smile a tad for the cameras and show the world he's not the most cold hearted son of a bitch that ever lived tells the entire tale of Dubya..

AWOL from Grace

AWOL from kindness
