ABC News reported on the * campaign lawyer who resigned
after it was discovered that he advised the Swift Liars.

They also said that there are several Democratic lawyers who work with 527s and the Democratic campaign.

I think this is misleading. Who are they?

If I can get some information, I plan to e-mail ABC News.

1. The DNC Is Not The Same Thing As The Kerry Campaign
Those lawyers don't work for KERRY! (But the networks won't make that distinction.)

5. They don't make the distinction
But they're perfectly aware of it. They're peddling to the rubes, though, who don't know. Shameful, is what it is. You know, I'm so old I remember a time when the networks hired reporters who wrote their own stories instead of just reading RNC blast faxes out over the air.

No really! It's true!

2. Note. . .

there is a rather huge glaring distinction between lawyers that defend those guilty of libel, and those who defend those who are working tirelessly to expose the truth.

I am so sick of "journalists" missing the big picture. The problem isn't about 527's and "freedom of speech". The issue is between truth and lies-period!

3. ABC has put the Democrats on notice.
No criticism of the Bush campaign will be tolerated. Looked like the information they aired was straight from the RNC.

6. fuck ABC. They're run by a bunch of cartoon characters
they are out for almighty dollar. CBS can kick their ass every day of the week from now til the next millennium for all I care.

They are all whores. The only people who aren't are held in check by the management and program directors.

FUCK CORPORATE TV

7. An important distinction: does the Repuke have a firm which did work
for the liars, or is his only job working for Bush, and, on that time, was he advising the liars?

It's one thing to be on the clock of an employer and then using that employer's time to help someon "unrelated" (who really is related).

It's quite another to have a firm and be a hired gun, an to be open to all comers, and to bill them separately.

You can't blame a lawyer for his clients (so long as they're all paying customers). You can argue a conflict of interest when an employee is being underwritten by his employer to do work for a friend.

I have a feeling the Bush guy was helping the Smear Boat Liars while he was only drawing a check from his nine-to-five job for the Bush campaign.
