6. Forget the "how many houses" and the "Keating 5" crap.
This, if you ask me, is 10 times more powerful and if Obama's camp doesn't at least TRY to destroy him with it, then I don't know what the hell to think. McCain's already trying to back out of the statement, but there's just too much (tons of it) evidence to the contrary.

8. I'm with you. After volunteering countless hours since February...
I told the campaign last night that if I didn't see them hitting hard on this issue, I'm done working for them. This is way too important for them to ignore!

5. Women will be drafted this go around. This would be the fastest way to end the wars.
If everyone were feeling the pain, there would be rioting in the street for this ridiculous occupation.

7. I've always thought the quickest way to ensure that we only go to war when necessary is...
...to require that the president's children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews go first.

11. People absolutely should be Hulk level angry
However, they should have seen it coming and they should have been aware that borrowing all this money from the Chinese to do it, is sinking the country irregardless of a draft.

Shit, he probably wants to tie citizenship to service if he can swing it. Watch it.

McCain is the biggest hawk to come down the line at least since television and he's being run by the most immoral of the neocon persuasion. What about this bag of bluster leads any sentient being to even consider voting for him.

Still, you guys are a 100% right. This is the lever that I can even push my over the edge mother on. My 11 year old nephew is named Alex. I'm thinking she's not cool with letting John McCain have Alex. She isn't even about giving him my brother in law and he's in the Army.

At least I'm too old. Drill Surgent McKeating Five would have to wipe out damn near a whole generation to get to me and then I'd still be in the rear with the gear.

19. Yep, I know what ya mean. This week I provided absentee ballots to some girls...
...heading off to college ~ and one of them said she's voting McCain. When I asked if she's looking forward to going to Iran, she said a draft will never happen, and that we should bomb Saudi Arabia while we're at it. I had to leave the place before I tore off her stupid bobblehead!

12. War without end...
...means inevitable draft.

We cannot fight two wars (with a third on the way) without a draft.

I've been tellin' my flag-worshipping co-workers that for years.

I think they're starting to get it. They're running out of slogans.

"We'll fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here." Who? You? Your sons? Your grandsons?

"When they stand up, we'll stand down." Well, they straight stood up and told us to leave. Now what?

Four years ago, one of my co-workers told me he used to be a democrat...then he pulled his head out of his ass. Last month he asked me, "You don't think this was really all about the oil, do you?" He's lucky I like my health insurance or I'd've punched him in his fucking lungs.

Anyway, I seem to have strayed from my point...so: Rant/Off.

:hi:

21. when you listen to some people you would thinnk it is a video game
if the youth of today had to go into mandatory military training and get drafted they would have a different view.

"Until it becomes obvious that McCain will draft them, stupid people will like wars."

23. That's the problem - even many Dems don't believe we'll ever have a draft...
They think Congress will say no if McCain wants to go to war ~ it's incredible!

probably people on death row in prison.
