Why Mitt Romney is a big mistake for John McCain...
He is going to make him look old, older than he already looks. He is going to make McCain look out of sorts. He is going to make McCain look like a fuddy duddy.

I guess the GOP people have two things going through there mind; Michigan and 2012.

Mitt was the establishments candidate; it was just too bad old Mitt couldn't connect with the regular folks.

Mitt will over shadow McCain and it will look as if he is a vulture circling overhead, waiting for the old man to drop dead.

Big mistake for the GOP...

Good tidings for us...

19. I disagree ...
For a lot of reasons, and the counter the OP point is one ...

I hate to say this, because at the core, his age, not in and of itself, but the fact that CLEARLY his age is chewing away at his mental capacity to do the job - and we are talking about the presidency of the United States of America, the most powerful nation on the planet ... IMO, with no partisan leaning at all, I can't see how ANYONE votes for someone who just is not sharp enough to do the freakin job ...

THAT aside ...

I think Mittens is the BEST candidate from their perspective to mitigate McCains age because he is close to McCain's age, at least relative to a guy like Pawlenty, while still being apparently healthy and vibrant (albeit in a Ken Doll kind of way) ... I think picking a guy like Cantor or Pawlenty DOES make him look older, but picking Romney brings some vitality to the ticket without that big age gap ...

ALL of that aside, I think Romney is OUR worst scenario ... The media will HAIL it as the PERFECT ticket - McCain the UNQUESTIONED international guru and Romney the UNQUESTIONED economic guru ... I have seen the media doing a makeover on Romney in the last few months and they are all a twitter over him ... He would help McCain a good bit in some of those midwestern states that have mormon populations, and might be able to put Michigan within grasp ...

The Fundies would vote for Jeffrey Dalmer if he was an R ... They don't give the first rats tail about religion, it is and alwayw has been politics ...

Of all the VP choices McCain has, I view Romney by far as the worst case scenaio for BO, and the rest, frankly, as backbenchers ... I don't see how he can go any other way and win, and IMO this will be a defining decision for him - can he get past his ego and pick the guy ...

20. There's enough dirt on Multiple-Choice Mitt to defeat him...
Pro-Choice..kinda...sorta..., there's his propensity for buying businesses and then offering staff their jobs back on vastly reduced wages...

21. McCain has made 100 different ...
campaign ending blunders ... The media has washed them all ...

I repeat - choice means squat for an R ... The fundies will get behind whoever it is, cause the D is the spawn of satan ...
Your point about Romney is a positive for the media - corporate capitalism trumps all ... Jobs, who gives a rats tail, he made money ...
