This Too Many Homes to Count Story is the gift that will keep giving....
McCondo's open his mouth, and left an opening that Obama drove a plane through.

This has neutered the goppers, from now until the election, ability to claim Obama is an elitist.

It has damaged the Mcpow's Brand. He can no longer claim to be "one of us". It is the first real cut, and should prove to be a deadly blow.

1. I'm isolated from the febrile stampedes of the US media . . .
by being in another country.

Do you think this story has legs (a la the Poppy Bush grocery scanner, say) or will it just disappear like all the other gaffes that McCain has committed?

2. I heard a GOPer on CNN last night say that McCain can't be an elitist because he was a POW.
He's not an elitist, he's just really rich; he married someone really rich. This is how they try to justify his gaffe.

If McCain doesn't know what's going on in his own household, then how can American's expect him to run this country economically?

4. I've heard 2 different excuses on this story, both are damning.
#1 - he was responding to the woman's concern about healthcare for veterans. That's a gift because McBush has a clear record of voting against healthcare for veterans. #2 - they're Cindy's homes. That, of course, makes McBush a pussy whipped gigolo.

11. That was a poor choice of words. How about money whipped?
She's got the dough and without her he's just a common slob who was, of course, ONCE A POW.:banghead:

9. And, in desperation to get off this story they "released the hounds"
They put up a lot of stuff they surely wanted to hold off on.

10. Best of all, the McCain camp IMMEDIATELY played the POW card in response.
Boy, was that ever stupid.

We are just another boneheaded, kneejerk reaction from McCain's surrogates to being able to begin publicly ridiculing McCain for overplaying that hand.

You can't just trot it out every damn time you're fumbling for words. P.O.W. is becoming to McCain what 9/11 became for Rudy -- fodder for ridicule.

15. I will not comment on your misspelling of "its".
Three words away from a correct spelling of "it's", no less. Please. These are easy words.

Darn. I meant to not comment even though you happened to hit my biggest Pet Peeve. Especially since I agree completely with what you said! How many more times can mccain go to the POW well? It's looking pretty dry already.

(It's the first "it's" that's wrong. There is no apostrophe in the correct possessive form, "its". Pass it on.)

14. A noun, a verb, and "I was tortured".
Of course, he wasn't tortured, not by bush & cheney's definition. And of course, the reason he was captured in the first place is that he heroically failed his mission and got shot down.

I used to repect mccain's service and experience; now I don't. He is a Little Jerk and nothing more.

13. It also showed that he isn't allowed to speak without the approval of his handlers.
Whether he actually knew the answer or not, he knew that he needed his campaign to tell him the "correct" answer.
