Looking for feedback; national survey
There have been lots of polls recently showing some slippage of support for Barack Obama. I'm not someone who understands polls and know that it's still early, but the recent results do give me cause for concern. On the other hand, I continue to witness that Obama apparently still is playing before large crowds of people who want to see him and I have the impression that McCain's crowds are not as large and are clearly not as energized. As a side note, I read in one of the books about Truman that some of his people really thought he'd win against Dewey (when most the experts felt exactly the opposite) because of the size and enthusiam of the crowds he attracted just before the election.

With that background, I'm curious to hear reports from DUer's from cities and towns where Obama and McCain have been speaking recently--what are the crowds like? How big are they? Are they standing room only? Would like to get some honest feedback, which I think might be more telling than the polls where this election is headed. Thanks for any input.
