The Significance of Springfield, IL - "A House Divided"
I don't know. I may have to put my tin foil hat on for a sec to say this, but....

It may be Hillary. Lincoln gave his "House Divided" speech at the Capitol building, and Obama will bring the "house" together in Springfield. Perhaps. Maybe the symbolism is a bit too much for me right now. All signals have pointed away from Hillary. Obama has been dropping "clues" and all of them have been perceived to point away from Hillary.

Perhaps it is her. If it is, I will be on my floor for an hour or more. This would have been the best 8 months I have ever experienced from a political campaign.

1. I believe that Obama will use that phrase tomorrow.
I like the way you think. I said the same thing on Tuesday: Abe Lincoln, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton (all from Illinois) and a house divided can not stand.

I don't think the Dems had a civil war so to speak, but we damn near had something near it.

7. Lincoln did everything in his power to prevent that war
But, alas, the armies came. No president had a tougher job. So , the "House Divided" presently, is just lip service.
