DEM PICKS GEPHARDT AS VP CANDIDATE!

I'm not saying that CNN and AP are wrong, but I think we should all remember the past.

2. Yes except this time we have many DUers believing the "Dewey defeats Truman" stories...
Probably because many of them wanted Biden in the first place.

3. Yeah, I think congratulations are still premature. I'm all set to congratulate Biden but ONLY after
official confirmation by Obama. I'm not taking the MSM seriously. They've proven with their track records what fucking idiots they are.

10. I'm with you. Biden's a fine choice, but let's let Obama make it official - not CNN.

4. except the other major media did not report on it , it was limited to
the post. they only made mention of it along with speculation about others but not as they are reporting with Biden.

8. It looks to me like the other media outlets are basing their calls on CNN.
I could be wrong on that.

11. This is just like in 2000 when Fox called for FL and then the other outlets followed suit.
It's what made the whole Supreme Court debacle possible because everyone was confused that there wasn't an universal consensus amongst the news stations.

12. It is similar, and it's all based on an anonymous source.
That just isn't enough for me.

Like I said before, I'm cool with Biden. There are many worse possibilities like Bayh, Kaine or Nunn, but until we hear from the Obama campaign it's not official.

14. I know! Why can't people hold off until Obama confirms???
I like Biden so I'd celebrate but we need Obama to confirm HIS Vice Presidential nominee and NOT the MSM.

15. I've seen bigger celebrations with less cause here.
I just remember what it was like in 2004 when the Post came out with that headline and won't make the same mistake. :)

5. I kinda think Gep would've been a good choice THIS time around.
He was always strong with labor unions and came off as a pretty regular guy.

13. Thank you!
I've been saying this on EVERY thread that says CNN called it for Biden, and even got accused of being a troll for saying it. It is possible that Bayh is either completely lying or misheard the campaign. It is possible that some intern (or even a higher up) screwed up.

Of course, it's possible that Biden IS the nominee. If so, I'll be thrilled. Until the campaign says so, it's just CNN's (and the AP) speculation.
