The Political Compass is validated once again.
It sure matches MY perceptions ... even though I STRONGLY prefer the Kucinich perspective.

4. The Base is all over the place, politically...
The only thing they really agree on is to vote (D) no matter what, doesn't matter if the particular candidate is an outright fascist, or a socialist.

2. That's funny, I'm left libertarian on those tests and I've voted for
both Nader and Kucinich before.

3. The lower left corner of the green square is my home. :^) And I know many other DUers reside there
as well.

8. Got a link to the thread for that?
That's quite interesting given *some* of the rather ... authoritarian opinions I see here. You wouldn't make it in the lower left quadrant unless you were *quite* specific about your feelings of governmental control.

19. Truly amazing and quite unexpected.
I love it though. I would like to think most DUers are in that category, but yeah. Sometimes the discussions don't seem that way at all (the idea that DU is an anarchist forum in disguise is amusing at least).

10. I'm about where Nader is, but I still hate his sorry ass.
Politics is the art of compromise, and I know I can only get half a loaf, so I compromise to get there. As that great English man of letters said "you can't always get what you want; but if you try sometimes, you get what you need."

Far to the left, way to the left of Nader, but almost exactly on the horizontal line.

Can't post the graph, though. Says it has an illegal code.

12. Blue is a far finer shade than red, my friend.
I'm stoked, personally!

Although I'm a little freaked out at myself for always ending up in that weird autho-right box when I take this test. FLAWED TEST, I SAY!!!

13. I like green, myself.

I just finished off some Montgomery Inn ribs, tonight. They were leftover from Sunday. I had a backyard birthday party/BBQ for my step-nephew and THIS year I found I could buy their ribs at a local restaurant (Ginopolis) owned by a good friend of the Gregory family. They have them trucked up from Montgomery and serve them to people with taste hereabouts. Last year, not knowing about this restaurant, I ordered about $300 worth direct from Montgomery Inn, shipped in dry ice via FedEx. 'Spensive! This year, I spent less than 1/3rd of that. Yum!!

Best. Ribs. Ever.
