Just curious.

The best ticket since Clinton/Gore on either side of the aisle.

1. Even better than Clinton/Gore, I think
I loved that ticket, but Obama doesn't have the dirty laundry Bill had. And Biden is more of an attack dog than Gore (and I wanted Gore to run for prez more than anything in the world).

and chose the opposite of a head in left field light weight. Biden is hardly a Tom Hayden Democrat.

It's says good deal about Obama. Judgment.

5. Then again wyld
Obama would not be the first politician to take thoughtful centerist policies and fashion them into a message of hope ;) The question for me has always been how many hangers on do you have to carry with you to do it. Biden is no hanger on.

3. I think it is a good ticket. I also suspect if we win, and a Supreme Court
justice steps down, Hillary will be nominated

7. You only have to look at 1992 video of Bill Clinton to see
he was a quicker, more complete politician. What Obama may have is better judgment of personnel. "Chief strategist" was a job beyond Mark Penn's capabilities. The decision taken early on to stop polling small states / Obama states was culpable. When things got tight, they had little direct knowledge of how badly things were going outside the big battles. It came down to the minutae of delegate mechanics, something that was beyond Penn's expertise and understanding, eg: how to keep precincts 2-2 rather than 3-1. That is strategy, feet on the ground strategy, something the 'Chief Strategist' needed to know. As the delegate count kept creeping up in favor of Obama, Team Clinton were overwhelmed.

In the first four contests, Obama did not go backwards. There comes a time when consistent good luck must be considered as planning. Ask a 1996 insider.
