Does anyone really think "McBoarwalk" will choose Mitt?

But I'm not sure who? Tom Ridge? I don't know that Ridge would want to be it.

Guiliani --too many wives, too much adultery.

Lindsay Graham - he inspires like only a Dan Quayle can.

Joe Lieberman - no.

Who? Who?

I bet he asks Dick Lugar.

2. Everyone else is a backbencher ...
people here are seriously selling Mittens short - the media has been fawning all over him for months now.

IMO, if McCain gets past his ego and selects Mittens, the media will HAIL the ticket as perfect with McCain as the unquestioned foreign relations guru and Mittens as the unquestioned economic guru.

At this time, it appears that Biden was the best pick to break through the media haze, but Mittens is problematic. Everyone else is a backbencher.

7. PUMAs make up too small of a percentage of voters to choose a V.P. for
So any choice he makes won't consider PUMAs.

8. I do not know how many PUMAs exist , but the election will be close in the EC.
And, I don't know how many PUMAs want Obama to lose so HRC can run in 2012.

If 2% of the Democratic voters are PUMAs (1 million voters) and vote for McCain in order to see a woman in the VP position, well, that is a big block that may tip the election.

However, if they are die hard HRC fans, then the last thing they want is to vote for a woman as VP to a 72 year old POTUS. They certainly would not want Palin or Whitman to run against HRC in 2012.

Interesting chess match, for sure! I guess we will know in a week or so.
