When I was campaigning for Biden, I had many Repugs tell me...
"Yeah, I could vote for Biden!" However, he lost the primary, since the MSM was so focused on Obama and Hillary.

After he lost out, I heard from even more Republicans that they could have voted for Biden.

Now that Jim Leach and others in the state have crossed over and declared they will vote for Obama, I look for even more to do so with Biden onboard.

Has anyone else heard this comment from Republicans? Independents?

1. He's earned respect from both parties.
unlike the sympathy McCain's earned over the years, it's because of what he's done and not what happened to him.

2. Very true. I think McCain has milked the POW issue for all it's worth.
If they take that issue away, he doesn't have much left.

3. He will bring Republicans AND Independents.
I trust Obama's judgment! Sadly too many of us around here didn't because the person they wanted didn't get in.

It's time to rally behind our nominee and his running mate and unite as one party. The Repukes know how to stand behind their leaders and that makes me so jealous sometimes because Dems love to trash our own.

If Obama loses, it will definitely be our fault for failing to work hard for him, whether he was our first choice or not.

5. He is Not the Stereotypical Crossover Candidate
but I imagine he does have that appeal, with the advantage of not turning off the base.

Surprisingly, very few people this morning are talking about Biden's appeal to independents. Obama obviously believed he has a lot.
