Obama IS from the Middle-Class!!

Ok I am watching MSNBC, and John Harwood said Biden has that Middle Class sensibility
to help Obama

Immediately I thought Obama is Middle Class too. Am I missing something?
He was raised by his Grandparents, He went to Harvard on a Scholarship
His mother, a single mom, used food stamps while she was in college.

What is about Biden that makes him have more "Middle Class Sensibility" than Obama?
Is it because Obama is a Harvard Educated Black Man?

meaning Biden has white middle class sensibility. Irish Catholic urban working class, etc.

But there is some truth to this: Obama's sensibility is middle class, but not the same. His mom and grandparents came from the Mid-West, and added to that is Hawaiian culture and Indonesian and finally Chicago South Side.

I think it's a really good combination. The other day I heard Biden's speech to the Fire Fighters and he was absolutely superb. An excellent surrogate for Obama and a relentless attack dog on the trail, and he'll be a dedicated and effective public servant in the White House. He was my #1 primary pick until he bowed out.

Occidental - private school
Columbia - private school
Harvard - private school - legacy

Public schools are middle class - private schools not so much.

If you can pay full tuition for all of those schools you would definitely be upper middle class. But Obama certainly didn't have parents that could do that.

Obama has been middle class basically until he got a book deal.

He went to many private schools on scholarship. I realize the meaning of this is lost on the media -- a foreign concept perhaps -- but he actually earned the right to be there through studying. as another prepster on a scholarship, I have enormous respect for this aspect of Obama's history because I know how much you have to want it to study that hard. And you are surrounded by people whose parents can and will buy their kids a spot next year if their grades fail -- but scholarship kids can't do that. They have to get the As. They have to stay out of trouble. And, if they do all of that, they get a great education which opens doors for their future.

contrast that with the privileged kid who doesn't bother to study and graduates at the bottom of his class because he knows his daddy will fix his career. This kid can afford to slack off, drink too much, have issues with hookers, and get into trouble because he knows he won't be kicked out of school. Hmmm....Which one is presidential material? I see an American Dream here, and it isn't sitting on easy street, stealing and lying.

Now I know the conservatives would bash Obama's book profits--but that is new found wealth. He's still lower and middle class mindset. When Obama started in Chicago, he wasn't even making the salary of a beginning teacher.

Yes!!! BLog it, write it in comments, etc-- because it's not just a talking point, it's the TRUTH. and the truth is something sorely lacking in **II days, a tradition carried on by McCaint and his Cone of silence, mother theresa told us to adopt our child, we aren't elite, I don't know how many houses I have but it isn't an issue ROVE campaign of aggression with no substance.

BTW, any idea how many illegals McCone has employed, because his household "staff" budget of 270,000 seems a bit low. For sure he's got some gardeners on the plan who aren't exactly card-carrying citizens. He does live in Arizona and have homes in California, right? As anyone who is from there knows, there aren't too many maids/gardeners who are legal citizens.

Just wondering, because that isn't American and it certainly isn't patriotic in any sense of the word.
