"with or against"?
There's a clip in the McCain ad of Biden saying he'd "be honored to run with or against John McCain." Did that come out wrong? Did he mean to say "against" and correct himself? Was there ever any talk of a McCain/Biden ticket? If not, I think they're grasping at straws here.

2. Does anyone have a date for that clip?
If it was while Biden was still a presidential candidate, then the RW really has nothing. No way did he mean he'd cross the aisle and be McCain's VP. Running "with" can also mean "being in the race with," as an opponent.

Besides, FOX just said there is footage of McCain saying Joe is one of the good guys!

4. It's an interview with John Stewart from August 2005
yes, he does say it, along with a statement that he wanted McCain to run with Kerry in 2004. But, as far as I know, there wasn't any talk of a McCain/Biden ticket. It's something he said off hand (on Comedy Central) before McCain flip-flopped on almost every issue and devolved into running a Rovian campaign.

Sorry, the only link I could find to the video was a republican national convention blog. But, there aren't any ads on it and you might as well use up their bandwidth. Watch the second John Stewart interview on the page, too. It's good!

5. Thank you.
Those clips make Joe look good! Friendly, funny, humble, knowledgeable and a good sport about it all. Being willing to reach across the aisle is something the right wingers can't fathom.
