Biden: "These times require more than a GOOD SOLDIER - they require a WISE LEADER."
This is the shot across the bow I've been waiting for.

I hope there will be a concerted effort between the campaign, moveon and vet/military groups to talk about the McCain Plan & the DRAFT.

There were other great lines in Biden's speech today - what are your favorites??

2. That, and the kitchen table comment
A good soldier takes orders, he doesn't give them. I too liked that line.

3. It was perfect. He had several good ones, and I think he's given
the O campaign some good sound bites to work with.

And more to come, I've no doubt!

6. He has pointed out that oil cos already have thousands of drilling leases
Edited on Sat Aug-23-08 06:37 PM by wishlist
The speech today did not get into the energy crisis but hopefully he will be able to educate Americans about the Repub fallacy that opening up more areas to drilling is the solution to high energy costs, since he wrote a good editorial recently debunking that myth and pointing out how although oil companies already have permission to explore and drill in thousands of areas, they are only using a small percentage.

I loved that line. He spoke with such passion and force - it was an amazing thing to see and hear.

I'm looking forward to hearing Joe in the coming months!
