I mentioned this in another thread and it got buried. Anyway, she claimed to be a republican and told me on Sunday that she's not turning her TV on all week because she doesn't want to see any of the HATE FEST (her exact words) going on. EXCEPT, that is, Monday night. She said "I want to hear what that woman has to say for herself."

I just talked to her. Now she claims to be an independent and after Michelle's speech last night, she's fully behind Obama for President and I gave her a bumper sticker which she put on her car right there in front of me. I'm not convinced this gal is even registered to vote, but I'm feeling pretty good right now.

16. A older woman called C-SPAN last night after the speech

and said the same thing, basically--she hadn't liked either candidate, but after Michelle's speech she was convinced, and she was going to vote for Obama. I wonder how many peoples' minds she changed last night?!

Yesterday there was an AOL poll about Michelle - and 67% said they had a 'negative' impression of her.

Today they put up a new poll about her speech. 47% said it was very good, 22% said it was good - and only 35% didn't like it. She cut into those negative numbers in a pretty impressive way.

last night to be a Rep hate-fest.
For the few Reps and undecideds that did watch the opening night there was nothing but love and positive thoughts to get them in our fold. They could watch and learn how much better the country would be under the Dems.

She's a mid-30's, single white gal, pretty mother of 2. I don't know much more since I just moved here a few months ago. She appears to be "managing" okay, but.... yea.... I'd say she related to Michelle.
