25. slightly on topic: Gustav will be around when they hold their convention
if it is a rough storm, they will be bumped. Hang in there, gulf. I would rather see this awful old man fest than have you have trouble but they are talking about it already.

6. Nora Donald duck shouldn't head this panel
Rachel has to shout her points, not because she gets shouted down
but because the crowd cheers so loudly when she talks.

20. OMG, she said that!!
I hope there's a youtube of it. I have to see that. That is too much.

And Joe Biden. What an amazing human being. If some of that heart had broken through, we'd be looking at a different Presidential candidate. I just didn't know of his pure decency. Did you see when he was looking at his son when he first came out? I knew that was the "I am so proud of you I could bust" look. When it was Joe's VP nomination - he is still more proud of his son. And then he said it, and I was gone. I just can't believe we're going to have these two fine and thoroughly good families in the White House.

21. Actually he would be picking Timmeh on the anniversary of Katrina
as the bridge collapse was on Aug 1, 2007. Still, it's an arrangement of events that suggests karma is one viciously unforgiving bitch.

22. Not just "was the governor,"
but may have directly contributed given his veto of that appropriations bill that would have, among other things, helped fund bridge maitenance.

11. That crowd loves Rachel
They yell for her, Keith looks proud. Chris Mathews has even stepped up his attacks on Bushco to feed the crowd to get some of the reaction Rachel gets from them. Actually Chris has been pretty brutal. But Rachel is the star.

23. Keith is largely responsible for getting Rachel that spot, but
her brains, honesty, personality and all-round excellence will make sure she keeps it.

12. she brought up the bridge collapse!
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 11:32 PM by ErinBerin84
I'm surprised that this isn't mentioned more. I remember Mark Murray from NBC a couple of months ago saying that there was one report that kind of called out Pawlenty for not doing more before the bridge collape, which would make him as a choice less likely, and I never heard about it again.

and haha at Pat's "If it's Lieberman, I will be at the RNC convention early, but for different reasons."

Chris Mathews just made some crack about how boring a Pawlenty choice would be and made a reference to polenta.

16. What MSNBC needs to do is break out the pics of Bush and McCain EATING THEIR FUCKING CAKE
while New Orleans drowned in despair and death. That just pisses me off and it's even more frightening that things still are horrible down there.

19. Rachel is the next news star
She is smarter than a treeful of owls, as quick-witted as anyone I have ever seen, charming in that Joe Biden (I just cut your head off and you haven't even felt it yet) way and just the coolest person in any of the media. This straight boy from Minnesota is Gay for Rachel.

24. Bullshit. I was covering Bush in San Diego when the levees broke.
he didn't fly to have birthday cake with McCain in AZ until the next day. When he should have been flyng back to Washington to take command, if he had a heart and a brain.

Google Bush plus air guitar and you'll see a photo of the commander in thief grinning like the village idiot here in San Diego, while the people in New Orleans were drowning.
